Overview

The "Japan" roadtrip by Altervan is an organised 12-day van trip (destination: Japan), departing 4 Nov 2026 and returning 15 Nov 2026. Group of up to 21 people with an Altervan trip leader. Price €3,290 per person. This departure is sold out — a waitlist is available.

Japan, a destination where tradition meets the modern, welcomes us on a journey full of experiences and discoveries. Starting in Tokyo, the multifaceted capital, we'll feel the city's vibrancy and explore its striking corners, both by day and by night. A trip into the Japanese countryside will bring us closer to the country's natural beauty, before we return to enjoy Tokyo's cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Continuing on, we'll head for Hakone and the iconic Mount Fuji. Then we'll travel to Kyoto, the historic heart of Japan. A day trip to Nara will let us admire its historic monuments and famous deer.
