Bonus experience: a day trip to a bigger fjord<\/h3>\n<p>If you have a bit more time, you can make Bergen your base for a longer <strong>day trip to one of Norway&#8217;s great fjords<\/strong>, such as the Hardangerfjord. Or you can head further north, following the Atlantic Road. Leaving Bergen, you pass waterfalls, valleys and small villages. You drive along routes that make you feel as if the road is touching the water.
