Driving towards Kamloops, through breathtaking landscapes, we came across something unique. A celebration of indigenous heritage. The sound of the drums, the colourful costumes, the Native Americans dancing before us as they have for centuries. It was an experience we didn’t expect, but one we’ll certainly never forget. Banff National Park: where glaciers meet crystal-clear lakes
Banff National Park is the jewel of Alberta. Waterfalls, lakes, deer and moose roaming free, and small wooden cabins in the forest where we slept under the stars, with the sounds of nature to lull us to sleep.
Lake Louise: a sunrise like a postcard
We set off at 3 a.m. to catch the sunrise at Lake Louise. The turquoise waters, the reflection of the mountains, the calm. It was like living inside a painting.
An unforgettable encounter: a grizzly on our path
A grizzly bear appeared on our trail — calm, powerful, magnificent. A moment of awe and wonder. We held our breath. This was the ultimate contact with the wild nature of Canada.
Whistler: the perfect farewell
Whistler, a magical mountain village, was the ideal finale. Forests, lakes, trails and perhaps one more bear waving us goodbye. There we understood that nature can become your home, if you treat it with respect.
