City, desert, mountains, altitude, rhythm. From walks beside the ocean to dunes that never end, and a little later to Andean villages that seem frozen in time. This trip is about stepping right into what's happening. To laugh, to get tired, to lose yourself a little, and somewhere in there to feel that you're exactly where you're meant to be.
Peru is one of those trips that pull you in from the very first moment. Within a few days the scenery changes several times. From the ocean and the energy of the city, you move into deserts with sand dunes, and a little later you find yourself in the Andean mountains. And when we reach Machu Picchu, you'll understand it's not just a highlight. It's the point where the whole trip clicks into place.

Itinerary · day by day
1Arrival in Lima
Welcome to Peru. We arrive in Lima in the afternoon, check in, and let the body settle a little. There's no schedule today. In the evening we all head out for dinner together. First names, first inside jokes, and somewhere in there the group starts to bond.
2Lima
Today we let Lima show us who she is. We'll move through neighborhoods like Barranco and Miraflores, walk with no set plan, and stop for food and coffee. It's not a day for sightseeing. It's a day for slipping into the vibe.
3Paracas
We leave Lima and head south. Little by little the landscape shifts and turns wilder. We arrive in Paracas and head for the national reserve. Desert crashing into the ocean, a strong wind.
4Ballestas & Huacachina
We wake early, climb into the boats, and set off for the Ballestas Islands. We'll see sea lions and penguins. Then we head for Huacachina, an oasis in the middle of the desert. We climb aboard the buggies, and then comes the sandboarding. We stay for the sunset.
5Cusco
We change the scenery completely. We fly to Cusco. Altitude, mountains, and an energy all its own. Today we don't rush. The body needs to adjust. We take it easy and check in at the hotel. A short walk around town is enough for a start. We'll sip some local coca tea.
6Cusco
You wake up and for the first time you feel like you're starting to belong here. Today the day is yours. Breakfast at the hotel and then out. You might find yourself in San Blas, or lose yourself in the San Pedro market, among colors, smells, and people.
7Sacsayhuamán
Today we begin to unravel this place's past. At midday we set off on the city tour. First images: the Cathedral and Qoricancha. And then we climb. Sacsayhuamán. We continue to Q'enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. We return in the afternoon.
8Sacred Valley
Today we leave the city and step into the heart of the Inca world. We set off early for the Sacred Valley. First stop: Chinchero. Then Pisac. Somewhere in there we stop for a meal in Urubamba. And then comes the highlight: Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we return to Cusco.
9Rainbow mountain
Today there's no single right choice. There's your choice. For those wanting something intense, there's the option of Rainbow Mountain. For those wanting something more balanced, there's the option of Humantay Lake. And for those wanting to stay in Cusco, that's a perfect choice too.
10Cusco → Ollantaytambo → Aguas Calientes
Today begins the part you've been waiting for from the start. After breakfast, we leave Cusco and head for Ollantaytambo. From there, we board the train. The landscape turns wilder, greener. We arrive in Aguas Calientes. A small town, lost among the mountains.
11Machu Picchu
We take the bus that climbs the mountain's switchbacks and suddenly you're there. Machu Picchu. We take a guided tour of about 2.5 hours. And then you have time. To walk on your own. At midday we head back, by train to Ollantaytambo and then by road to Cusco.
12Cusco → Lima
We leave the mountains behind. A flight from Cusco to Lima in the morning. Within a few hours we're back by the sea. We check in at the hotel and the day is free. Perhaps for one last stroll, a good meal.
13Return
Last breakfast. No rush. A stroll, a coffee, one final image of the Pacific. And then a transfer to the airport for the return flight. The journey doesn't end. It just begins to become a memory.
